Darkwave Runs Loose...
Back in my yesteryears, I created a CD collection referred to simply as "Darkwave"...3 Cd's I compiled. Darkwave I, Darkwave II and Darkwave Symphonies. I have not touched them in a good 3 years...Recently friends have been discussing music, and that has encouraged my own selection to break dust....
Darkwave I includes bands such as: Sopor Aeternus, Faith and the Muse, Switchblade Symphonies, Paradise Lost, Anathema, This Ascension, Type O Negative, and Moonspell. A dark and enchanting CD...with a *hint* of romance. Gothic romance, there is no deeper passion.
Darkwave II is flowing and efficacious, with more rock than romance.
Darkwave Symphony is amorous and somber, though including many of the same bands. The music, however, is more symphonic (hence the name). There is more Anathema.... Lacuna Coil makes an introductory appearance. My Dying Bride & Anathema are very prominent, as they are very goth and ardor. I also included the fair song of Sopor Aeternus, "Sleeper"...which is a poem of Edgar Allan Poe. The song is around 12 minutes long, I believe, and is a perfect addition to Darkwave Symphony.
I'm mentioning them, because of the inspiration they have helped generate (including a handful of other inclusions). I haven't felt so arcanely enkindled...I can not describe the feeling...and I can not describe the inspiration. But, because of it, I am not able to concentrate of much of anything else. All I can think about.
Whilst searching for a particular book today, I accidentally stumbled upon this one:
Völuspá - Seiðr as Wyrd Consciousness by Yngona Desmond
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1419618415/ref=pd_cp_b_title/102-0087558-1989736?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=283155
I have never heard of it, and never heard of the author. I'm considering purchasing it, but I *KNOW* my husband will be very displeased with me. I've already gotten 2 other, unrelated books this week. Rare is the opportunity to purchase a new book. Once every few months...so it's been a bit of a splurge. I'm holding on to that title. Anyone reading this ever hear of either title or author? Input would be very welcome.
I have to run off some of this stimluated creativity before I truly go mad. My heart is actually accelerated and each night it is exhausting. What can I do?!?!?!?!
Valete.
